Is it possible for someone to be diagnosed with sociopathy and also hold religious beliefs 2 Responses Voted Oldest Recent Milko (Therapist) 2023-01-18T13:34:57+00:00Added an answer on January 18, 2023 at 1:34 pm Yes, it is possible for someone to be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder (ASPD), and also hold religious beliefs. ASPD is a personality disorder characterized by a disregard for societal norms and the rights of others, while religious beliefs pertain to one’s spirituality and faith. These two aspects of an individual are not mutually exclusive, and people with ASPD can have a wide range of beliefs, values, and experiences. Sociopaths, may have a disregard for societal norms and the rights of others, but their specific attitudes and behaviors towards religious places can vary. Some sociopaths may respect religious places out of fear of consequences or social pressure, while others may not see them as having any special significance. Some sociopaths may use religious places for their own gain, such as to manipulate others or gain access to resources. Some one told me, do sociopaths cry when a relative dies? It is possible for sociopaths to cry when a relative dies, as they can still experience a range of emotions, although they may have difficulty expressing or regulating them. However, some sociopaths may not show much emotion or may even appear indifferent when a relative dies, as they may have difficulty understanding or caring about the emotions of others. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp ira 2023-01-25T14:55:19+00:00Added an answer on January 25, 2023 at 2:55 pm yeah!! outside of sociopathy having nothing to do with fatalism/spirituality (meaning they can adopt different beliefs as a mentally healthy person would), i also want to highlight, that usually mental illnesses come not singular, but in a complex, and some of the symptoms (example is intrusive thoughts) can be sometimes interpreted as signs from deities soz for bad grammar, english is not my first. hope this helps to understand sociopathic behaviors a little better! 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp ReplyReplyCancel reply Subscribe Don't subscribe Replies to my comments Notify me of followup comments via e-mail.
